Disclaimer

Nothing on this site replaces good judgment or your own swatch. Every calculator and reference page here is built to help you plan, not to promise a specific outcome.

Yarn quantity estimates

The gauge-based mode of the yarn-quantity model is an in-house estimate, not a laboratory measurement — the methodology page shows exactly how it was derived so you can judge its limits yourself. Real yarn, real tension, and the exact stitch pattern you actually use will always move the true number somewhat. Add an allowance on top of any estimate, and reach for the swatch-weighing mode instead whenever you have yarn in hand to weigh.

Sizing and fit

Sizing charts and cast-on calculations are based on standard, published measurement ranges. Individual bodies vary; measure directly when precise fit matters, rather than relying on a chart alone.

No professional guarantee

Nothing on this site constitutes a guarantee of a specific finished-project outcome. We build every model and cite every standard carefully, and we correct genuine errors when we find them or when they're reported — see Contact — but the final result of any project depends on factors specific to your own materials and work that this site can't observe.
